Last August 2019, the food was superb. Upping the stars to 5. Two stars because we got a table! No more than that as it is mediocre italian food at sky high prices.
Very nice dinner. From starters to desert it was good. Staff was nice. The exterior is nothing to write home about. The interior is better. But the food itself is great.
Wonderful food. We have been here many times. For most of our dinners out, the meals were superb. However, the last time we went, the owner’s wife and the lead waitress were having some kind of dispute, and, then...we waited...and waited...and waited... Finally, the waitress and the owner’s wife had it out in front of us (with the waitress just taking drink and appetizer orders). We haven’t been back since. For the kind of delicious food this restaurant serves, we probably WILL go back. Hopefully, things will run smoother...
This restaurant is on a country road in a nondescript building with a sign that’s easy to miss. But the food was super. Excellent walleye and delicious lasagna. We started with burrata appetizer. Rich and creamy. Morel mushrooms were A. Wine list was more than adequate. Dessert was terrific. Wonderful experience
Been going to this place for years and it has never disappointed. The parmesan encrusted walleye is the best ever and the Bolognese is primo also. One of the reviewers wrote "don't judge a book by its cover" and she is so right. Have recommended Bella Vita to everyone from Indiana who travels to the area and all have thanked me for a great recommendation.
Such an amazing meal...from the Cambozola e Aglio and Carpaccio to the Fettuccine Alfredo con Fungi and Luccio Bella Vita completely knocked it out of the park for my wife’s birthday dinner... Thanks again! Will see you again soon! Maybe we will save some room for dessert
What a gem of a spot, you certainly can't tell a book from its cover! Our server was lots of fun and very efficient. The bartender (and we think he's also the owner) went out of his way to wish our father a happy birthday. Now let's talk about the food! Excellent menu selections, everything we ordered was out of this world. Truly the best dining experience I have ever had. Highly recommend!
